My name is Collin Champagne. I’m a classically trained tenor with a passion for musical theater and opera.

I’m currently available for musical engagements.

Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, the city is not only my home, but my inspiration.

Music has always been a part of my life. With the intent of pursuing a degree in electrical engineering in college, I quickly learned that music is what colors my life. I finished my studies in electrical engineering with a second major in music and a minor in music technology during my undergraduate education at Stony Brook University. I then continued my education at the Peabody Conservatory where I studied acoustics and participated in and studied vocal production and opera.

Vocal Production

My vocal training began in 2010 when I quickly found my passion for singing and performing when cast as Jonas Fogg in my high school’s production of Sweeney Todd. From there, I’ve continued under the direction of several vocal teachers throughout high school, college, graduate school, and continue working on my craft today.

Flute

My introduction to music began when I was 9 years old. My flute teacher, Celina Charlier, helped instill in me a love for music as I continued to study flute for 14 years prior to my segue into singing.

Acoustics

I’ve consulted on numerous projects for major corporations and luxury residences in and around the NYC metro area. I’ve worked on predicting the aural environment of acoustically sensitive spaces to provide the best environments for living, working, and enjoying music.

Today, I consult for a variety of architectural firms while I continue my vocal training. I’m also working on advancing my range of production related skills by studying acting, dance, textile art, and concert hall acoustics.
